I just made somebull-roarers from a pattern from Australia. Anyone know anything about how they were used?
Ah - I meant what are/were bull roarers in general used for?I'm not sure I understand the question. You want to know how this pattern was used? Or you want to know how the bull raorers were used? Or did I misinterpret your question entirely?

thanks, i found something more on this and get the idea - a bit like morse code i suppose.Well, it seems that bullroarers were used mainly for communicating over great distances, though it is an ancient ritualistic musical instrument.
