  1. Medusa

    Person in the backseat

This is an urban myth. It was said to have happened to a friend of a friend, or a cousin's roommate. No one actually knows the original story. It's really a plausible story so that's why we all think it happened. Weird.

Bad habits that are difficult to break

Me too. I'm addicted to sugar. I don't want to eat it but I would really rather not feel the urge to eat as much sugar filled products as I do.

Mythical creatures alike in different cultures

That is seriously odd. I would love to know the reason for this. It makes you think that there has to be a reason that all of the myths are based on reality. It would be interesting to explore these theories.

    Ghosts in graveyards

There are so many stories of ghosts in certain graveyards that I couldn't name them all. I'm sure we all have a local graveyard that has a reputation of having ghosts. However, I've never had an experience that would lead me to believe these are true. Has anyone had an encounter?

    Will christianity become myth?

I read an article the other day in some magazine or other at the doctor's office, that more and more Christians are becoming more pantheistic as time goes on. They referenced the belief in astrology and reincarnation as two particular beliefs that more Christians are starting to believe in...

    Roman mythology and astrology

That's a great article. I'm a Virgo though so I'm a feminine sign anyway. I've also got a name based on Mars the God of war. So I guess that means I'm well balanced? I'd like to think so anyway.

    Atlantis

Well, if you take the recent spate of tidal waves and tsunamis that have happened, it could very well have been submerged due to a tidal wave. I would have loved to have seen it though.

    Cryptozoology

I have been fascinated by cryptozoology ever since I heard about the Loch Ness Monster. I have never been able to research but I would love to be able to do so to find out the truth about some of these mythical creatures. What if we actually found Nessie or Champ or a Chupachabra for example...
  9. Medusa

Mythical creatures alike in different cultures

It really makes you wonder. Is this something that is carried from place to place by people who traveled to populate the new spots or did something really happen that would have accounted for the same type of characters?
  10. Medusa

    Roanoke settlement

Sounds like something I'd like to do. I've never been in Virginia before. I live close-I'm in upper Ohio-but I've never been there. If we get to take a vacation next year, I may have to go. I love history and historical sites. I'm in awe when I stand somewhere our founding father's have been.
