When did you start learning and loving mythology? I grew up reading a lot of mythology books my father has and watching TV shows related to mythology. I believe I get it from my father.
Interesting. If Christianity was just a myth, Mary the Mother would be my favorite mother in mythology. If it was not, she would still be my favorite mother in history. She is the best.
Who is your current kid's imaginary friend, if any? I wonder is your kid's imaginary friends is one of those mythology figures, gods of Greek mythology or the like.
I am not really a big fan of horror either. I read some horror novels and watch some horror movies because they are good novels and movies, and not because they are of horror genre.
Yeah, I am glad the final movie will be released in summer this year, though I was not aware that it's the sign of the end of the world. But we would still miss Thanksgiving and Christmas. :(
It looks like it's a great movie. I think I will watch it. It's from the same producer of 300, right? I haven't watched any of Tarsem Singh's movies though.
I don't really get into horror that much, but I love great horror novels. My favorite horror authors are Stephen King, but my favorite horror novel is Dracula by Bram Stoker.
I would love to live in the Atlantis. I imagine it would be a good place to live in. I like to live in an advanced civilization, surrounded by mentally (maybe also spiritually) developed people, etc.
By the way, so the world is supposed to have ended on May 21, right? :) I am curious about Mr. Camping. Is it his math or his brain which needs a little adjustment?
I even wonder if it would ever end. I don't know why people keep predicting the end of the world. They need to stop annoying other people by doing that and get a life.
I think it's more an urban legend than a religious prophesy. I agree with Katie that only God know when this world will end. I even wonder if the world (rather the universe) would ever end.
I have never heard of this urban legend, but I don't think it's true. But I am glad that I don't use my cellphone very often though I always bring it with me.
Katie I like romantic comedy also because my wife loves movies of this genre...well, I think I just get used to the movies. I am not a big fan of horror movies either, except Bram Stoker's Dracula.
I wonder why many people believe that the number 13 is a bad number which will bring bad luck into their life. For me, a number is just a number. Anyway, what mythology does the superstition come from?
I have no issue watching movies of any genre, as long as they are good movies. I love epic and colossal movies the most though, especially which are made based on mythology.
Who is your favorite character in Greek mythology? I am not a big fan of Hercules, Zeus, and the like. I like Athena. She is the goddess of strength, strategy, wisdom, civilization, female arts and skill, as if you didn't know.
Do you believe in the latest news (or rumor?) about Atlantis? Professor Santos from Brazil claimed in his book Atlantis, The Lost Continent Finally Found, that Atlantis was actually located somewhere in South East Asia.
I think most women in mythology are mothers. Anyway, my favorite is Marry the Mother. I know Christianity is not (yet) a myth (we have discussed this in another thread here), but still, she is my favorite mother. :)
I think it is possible. Do you believe that the universe was created in six days, and that a woman comes from a rib of a man? Though, I don't deny that the Bible is a good book, and I learn much from it.
I don't think I am so superstitious (I don't even believe in ghosts), but I am not a big fan of the bathroom mirror, especially at night. I always worry that some face other than mine would appear there when I see in it.
