If I could, I would want to live in the time of King Arthur. Something about that time period seems much more simpler than things are now, plus I would love to meet the great king whom everyone loves (or, I guess, almost everyone). That chapter of our "history" is filled with heroes and great quests, and is something that I would just love to be a part of.

If it were any era of time, I'd love to go back to the Victorian Era. So much enthusiams for invention and adventure. The world still seemed ripe for discoveries and exploration. If I had the chance I'd find Ernest Shackleton and ask if I could accompany him on his attempt to venture to the South Pole.

In terms of Mythology - It'd be the Greeks

I would want to live on a Pacific Island - most preferably in Hawai'i though I'm not picky - sometime before the 1700s.

Era-wise it would be Montmarte, France in the 1890s. My favorite period for art, music, and culture. Chasing the green fairy and wasting away in opium dens has a certain appeal.

Myth wise, I would love to experience the Arthurian period, although not for the reasons that some might list. I have no interest in the golden age of heroes, I would rather pay a visit to the Fisher King. I suppose being a part of the Celtic mythos would be fun as well, or being part of the older Germanic fairy tales. Running in the old Forests of England from Herne, or the black forests of Germany with various witches and nasty figures.

Thrilling.

All good things.

I'm glad you like them. It's a bit surreal to meet someone who has any idea who Herne is/was, let alone the Fisher King.

For some reason I like what the fisher king represents. I don't know why. I guess because there's something surreal about barren lands; the complete silence that washes through, the absence of life. I could just imagine what it would be like to enter a land so devoid of anything. I always picture it with a heavy mist hanging low to the ground.

I would love to live in the Atlantis. I imagine it would be a good place to live in. I like to live in an advanced civilization, surrounded by mentally (maybe also spiritually) developed people, etc.

haha, you sent me a message and I thought you were a robot (mainly because of the attractive lady in the dp) so I replied with Led Zeppelin lyrics :p

I would live in the 1960's woodstock for the win!

I'd want to like in the GrekoRoman period in Athens, though Atlantis would be a fun place to hang out I'm sure. If it ever did exist I'd go there.

I would have loved to live in the medieval times. The only thing that I would add to the era is more frequent baths. :) As for the myth, I would have loved to be Aphrodite.

I agree with TheLoreMan and would also say the Victorian Age. It was a time of great earthshaking, life changing inventions. Many ways of life were being challenged - women fighting for the right to vote, transportation, electric lights, even early air flight. Amazing when you think about it. I would have also liked to have experienced the life of the 1950's. The world was much simplier, new technology was coming - golden age of television, and movie effects - 3d glasses, and the classic monster sci-fi, movies.

I'll take the present era, warts and all. The Age of Chivalry is enchanting, but only in stories. Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a good antidote for Quixotism. :D

Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table are my all time favorite quasi-historical characters. I'm not sure about living in those days, however. For example, if one gets sick (i.e., the 'humours' become unbalanced), out come the leeches (not exactly my favorite life-form ). Of course, the legends gloss over such sordid details. The knights weren't vulnerable to disease. Lancelot had a severe nervous breakdown, but that probably would have been classified as demonic possession rather than illness.

I think at this point in my life I would want a free pass to visit more than a handful. Each time seems to have one thing or another that I truly feel connected too and I would want to experience it first hand. There is just no "one time" for me, too hard of a question to honestly answer. Can I get an around the times pass?
